Chandigarh, Jan 27 (Reporter) Former Union Minister and AAP leader Harmohan Dhawan passed away following a prolonged illness at a private hospital in Mohali on Saturday. He was 83. He had been ill for a long time and was admitted to the Max Hospital in Mohali, hospital sources said. He left BJP to join the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and contested in the 2019 Lok Sabha polls from Chandigarh. Congress leader Pawan Bansal expressed personal loss over his death, citing positive relations and a significant role in his election victory. 'His demise is a big personal loss for me, and it is also a big loss for those who admired his qualities and loved him in large numbers', he added.
