Former BJP MP Master Mathan passes away, PM, Nadda condole

Chennai, July 27 (Reporter) Former BJP MP and veteran Badaga leader Master Mathan passed away due to old age at his Coimbatore residence late on Friday night. He was 91. Mr Mathan, who represented the Nilgiris Lok Sabha constituency from 1998 to 1999, is survived by his wife and three children. He was suffering from old age related issues and passed away after a brief illness. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP National President and Union Minister J P Nadda condoled the death of Mathan. In a social media post, Mr. Modi said he was pained by the passing away of former MP Master Mathan. Mr Modi said Master Mathan will be remembered for his efforts to serve the society and work for the downtrodden. He also played a commendable role in strengthening our party in Tamil Nadu, the Prime Minister said and extended his heartfelt condolences to his family members. Mr Nadda, in his condolence message said, the death of Mr. Mathan was an irreparable loss to the party...////...
