Imphal, Mar 27 (Reporter) Five militants were nabbed in three separate incidents during the past 24 hours by security personnel and Manipur Police. Police said on Thursday that security forces arrested two active members of PREPAK(Pro) from Top Makha Leikai near Shagolsem Pukhri under Porompat-PS, Imphal East District. The arrested were directly involved in serving monetary demands/threat for extortion money from various shops and tent houses located in and around Imphal area. In another incident Manipur Police arrested two active members of RPF/PLA organization from Dinku Road under Lamphel-PS, Imphal West District. The arrested are directly involved in extortion activities in and around Imphal areas. Manipur Police arrested an active member of KYKL organization from Takhel Mamang Leikai near the foothill under Lamlai-PS, Imphal East District. Meanwhile, in search operations at Khullen village, Imphal East two AK-56 rifle , 7.62 mm SLR rifle, one SMG carbine, hand grenade, alum explosive, Lathode shell and other war like materials were recovered.
