Fishing vessel collides with Naval submarine off Gujarat coast, 11 of 13 crew rescued

New Delhi, Nov 22 (Reporter) An Indian fishing vessel Marthoma with a crew of 13 reportedly collided with an Indian Naval submarine, North West of Goa on Friday. According to an official statement, search and rescue efforts were immediately launched by the Indian Navy with six ships and aircraft. Eleven crew have been rescued so far. Search and rescue efforts for the remaining two is underway and is being coordinated with Maritime Rescue Coordination Centre Mumbai (MRCC). Moreover, additional assets including from the Indian Coast Guard have also been diverted to the area to augment the efforts.
