Fire damages hotel in Srinagar

Srinagar, Aug 21 (Reporter) A hotel was damaged in a fire incident in posh Rajbah area in Srinagar on Wednesday, officials said. Fire and Emergency service officials said that fire broke out in hotel ‘Lucky Akbar’ near the Zero Bridge in Rajbagh area at around 1.40 pm causing damage to the attic portion. Several fire tenders were rushed to the spot from the city centre to put off the leaping flames before spreading to other nearby buildings. No one was injured in the incident; the officials said and added that the cause of fire is being ascertained. In another incident a gold melting Chimney was partially damaged in a fire incident near the Hanuman Mandir Amirakadal here today. The timely and swift action by the fire service men enabled to put off the flames and saved the property...////...
