Tesla has come to the right city and the right state of Maharashtra. It is a matter of happiness for us that Tesla is launching its first showroom in India in Mumbai. It is setting up a logistics and servicing system here. Four big charging stations are also being built by Tesla here. I am happy that Tesla chose Maharashtra because this state has become a leader in electric mobility. Tesla is launching its Y model in India," Fadnavis said at the launch event. "India and especially Maharashtra now have a big and strong market for electric mobility. We are now also becoming a manufacturing hub for electric mobility. But I think Tesla will change the entire market. Tesla is not just a car company but also makes new designs. This is why Tesla is liked globally. Tesla should consider us as partners in their journey," Fadnavis said. Located in the heart of Mumbai at the Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC), the 4,000-square-foot flagship Tesla showroom called the Tesla Experience Center, marks the beginning of the American electric vehicle giant's long-awaited entry into the Indian market. The storefront has been fully branded prominently with the Tesla logo and a partially covered white Tesla vehicle inside the showroom. The showroom will serve as the American electric vehicle maker's first physical presence in India.
