New Delhi, Apr 7 (Reporter) The Government on Monday hiked Excise Duty on Petrol and Diesel by Rs 2 per litre with effect from April 8, but the retail prices will not be increased despite changes in the excise duty. “PSU Oil Marketing Companies have informed that there will no increase in retail prices of petrol and diesel, subsequent to the increase effected in Excise Duty Rates today,” Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas said in a post on social media “X”.
