Ex-Agniveers to get 10 pc reservation in paramilitary forces

New Delhi, July 11 (Reporter) Amid the Opposition's demand to scrap the Agnipath scheme, the government has said that 10 percent posts of constables in all paramilitary forces will be reserved for former Agniveers, who would get relaxation in physical test and age. Director Generals of paramilitary forces like Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Border Security Force (BSF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) and Railway Protection Force (RPF) on Thursday said that they have completed all preparations for recruiting Ex-Agniveers. They said that 10 percent posts of constables in the forces will be reserved for the Ex-Agniveers. \\\\ They also said that the forces will benefit from their recruitments as they will get capable, dedicated and disciplined workforce which will further enhance the efficiency of its operations. The Agniveers of the first batch will be given age relaxation of five years and the subsequent batches will be given age relaxation of three years. The top officers said that both the forces will ensure that retired Agniveers get maximum benefit of these relaxations in recruitment. On exemption from physical test for Agniveers, the government has said that at the time of recruitment, they are physically tested and anyone who has this test certificate can be given exemption.
