Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has stated that through micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), it is possible to provide employment or self-employment opportunities to at least one member of every family. Dr. Yadav emphasised that entrepreneurship should expand uniformly across the state by connecting youth with micro-industries like traditional oil mills, spice and flour mills, and millet processing units for crops like kodo and kutki. Food processing units can play a crucial role in this initiative. Agricultural produce markets are also being modernised, with facilities for the safe storage of milk, vegetables, and other perishables, starting from Ratlam.

The meeting was attended by Minister Shri Chaitanya Kumar Kashyap, Principal Secretary Shri Raghvendra Singh, Principal Secretary Finance Shri Manish Rastogi, and other officials.

Currently, Madhya Pradesh ranks 7th in the country in the MSME sector, and the aim is to bring it among the top states by next year. To achieve this goal, a time-bound action plan will be implemented focusing on Better financial and infrastructural support for MSMEs, strengthening self-employment schemes and the startup ecosystem, and promoting marketing, exports & e-commerce platforms.
