Ensure Robust Information System for Heavy Rains and Flood Situations: CM Dr. Yadav

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav directed officials to strengthen the information and alert system to prevent loss of life and property during heavy rainfall and floods. Reviewing preparedness at the Mantralaya, he emphasised continuous monitoring of river levels, advance assessment of vulnerable areas, and timely setup of relief camps with shelter and food facilities.

CM Dr. Yadav urged collaboration with social and religious organizations in relief efforts and stressed public awareness through disaster preparedness training and mock drills. He also called for appropriate arrangements and precautions during upcoming monsoon festivals. Ministers and senior officials, including the Chief Secretary & DGP, attended the meeting.

The state has received over 61% of its average rainfall so far, with the highest in Tikamgarh, Mandla, Chhatarpur, Niwari and Sidhi. NDRF and SDRF teams are deployed across key locations, and disaster relief equipment has been distributed to districts. The meeting also reviewed the current status of dam water levels.
