Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has emphasised that selling government assets should not be the only option—instead, efficient utilisation for public welfare must be ensured. He stated that comprehensive documentation of all public properties should be carried out so that they may be upgraded and developed as per requirements.

Dr. Yadav issued these directions while reviewing the Public Asset Management Department at Mantralaya. He instructed officials to integrate government properties with major development projects wherever feasible to maximise their value for the state. Properties should be rationalised and repurposed rather than left idle or auctioned off.

He further directed that the Public Asset Management Department must not take decisions regarding liquidation or auction independently, Instead, it should coordinate with the Revenue, Religious Trusts & Endowments, and Law & Legislative Affairs departments to ensure proper resolution of all asset-related matters.

Minister for Tribal Affairs, Public Asset Management, and Bhopal Gas Tragedy Relief and Rehabilitation, Dr. Kunwar Vijay Shah, joined the meeting virtually from Khandwa. The meeting was attended by Chief Secretary Shri Anurag Jain, Additional Chief Secretary to CM Dr. Rajesh Rajora, Additional Chief Secretary, Public Asset Management Department Shri Aniruddha Mukherjee, Principal Secretary Finance Shri Manish Rastogi, and Secretary and Commissioner, Public Relations Dr. Sudam Khade, along with other senior officials from the department.

Dr. Yadav also called for innovative approaches in asset management and prioritised the management or disposal of state-owned properties outside Madhya Pradesh. Government assets located at prime locations should be strategically planned for public benefit, and detailed micro-level action plans should be implemented. Where legal opinion is necessary, further actions should be taken only after obtaining expert advice from the Law & Legislative Affairs Department.
