Deputy Election Commissioner, Election Commission of India, Shri Ajay Bhadoo on Wednesday conducted a review of the arrangements regarding the preparations for the counting of votes for the Lok Sabha elections 2024 by interacting with all the officers of the state through video conferencing. Chief Electoral Officer Shri Anupam Rajan joined this VC from NIC Indore and apprised about the preparations and arrangements made for the counting of votes in all the Lok Sabha parliamentary constituencies of the state. Returning Officers and Collectors and District Election Officers of all 29 Lok Sabha parliamentary constituencies of the state participated in the VC virtually. In the VC, Deputy Election Commissioner Shri Bhadoo directed that preparations and necessary arrangements related to the vote counting should be finalized promptly, ensuring counting of votes is completed swiftly. All necessary resources and arrangements should be available at the counting place. Train all counting personnel by May 31. Allow only authorized persons to enter the counting venue. The Deputy Election Commissioner discussed with all the Returning Officers and Collectors and District Election Officers and Police Officers and obtained feedback on the preparations made so far for counting and directed them to conduct smooth counting.
