Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that an Engineers Research and Training Institute will be established in the state to enhance efficiency of engineers by training them in modern technology and methods of work. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, through initiatives like PM Gati Shakti, has been encouraging engineers, boosting their morale in challenging situations. Indian engineers have demonstrated excellence through landmark projects like the Chenab Bridge. The Public Works Department in the state has initiated efforts focused on public welfare. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was addressing the state-level program on the birth anniversary of Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya at the Kushabhau Thakre Auditorium, emphasising the commitment of public works to public welfare. The event began with a ceremonial lamp lighting and garlanding of Sir Visvesvaraya’s portrait.
