Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav inspected the ongoing road widening work from KD Gate to Nikas Square in Ujjain on Tuesday, near Khajurwali Masjid, in preparation for the upcoming Simhastha 2028. Citizens have voluntarily removed parts of their houses to facilitate road widening as a mark of their self-motivated contribution toward development.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav expressed satisfaction over this exemplary initiative and lauded the citizens for their cooperation. He said that the widening of this road will give a new direction to the city's old market area and boost local trade. The Chief Minister also interacted with local residents, inquired about their well-being, and reviewed the arrangements related to Simhastha works.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, during the inspection, instructed Collector Shri Raushan Kumar Singh to ensure that eligible residents who voluntarily remove portions of their houses for the road widening project receive benefits under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. He directed that the work should be completed at a fast pace while ensuring proper convenience for citizens.
MLA Shri Anil Jain Kaluheda, Shri Sanjay Agrawal, Shri Ravi Solanki, and several others were present during the inspection.
