Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav announced the launch of a new livelihood promotion scheme titled “Ek Bagiya Maa Ke Naam” in Madhya Pradesh. Under the scheme, fruit orchards will be developed on 30,000 acres of land by 30,000 women associated with Self-Help Groups (SHGs), with an investment of around Rs. 900 crore. A total of 30 lakh horticultural saplings will be planted. Beneficiaries will be provided with Saplings, Fertilizers, and Funds for pit digging, Barbed wire fencing for protection and Water ponds for irrigation. Women beneficiaries will also receive training in orchard development. CM Dr. Yadav congratulated everyone on the successful execution of the Jal Ganga Samvardhan Abhiyan while addressing the Council of Ministers before the Cabinet meeting on Tuesday.
