Governor Shri Mangubhai Patel said that education is crucial for progress in life and that no individual or society can move ahead without it. He highlighted the importance of educating children, particularly urging the people of the Sahariya community to focus on educating both sons and daughters. Governor Shri Patel stated that only through education can the community integrate into the mainstream of progress. He shared these thoughts while interacting with the Sahariya community in Chait Gram Panchayat of Gwalior on Monday. Governor Shri Patel said that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has allocated Rs. 24 thousand crores from the Central government for the overall development of the Sahariya, Bharia, and Baiga communities. This funding will help provide essential services such as housing, electricity, water, and health to these communities. Under the PM Janman Yojana, 11 basic facilities will be made available through 9 departments. Concrete efforts are underway to ensure that all eligible beneficiaries receive the benefits of this scheme. Governor Shri Patel emphasized that both Central and State government welfare schemes are actively working for the upliftment of these communities. He encouraged Sahariya families to improve their standard of living by utilizing these schemes. He also reminded the community of the great historical figures like Rani Durgavati, Rani Kamalavati, and Birsa Munda, who contributed immensely to society and the nation. Shri Patel urged everyone to draw inspiration from these leaders and work towards advancing their society.
