New Delhi, Mar 30 (Reporter) Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Saturday questioned Delhi Transport Minister Kailash Gahlot in an alleged money laundering case linked to the Delhi liquor policy.
Gahlot was questioned by the ED for over five hours over the drafted excise policy.
The development came after Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal was arrested by the probe agency on March 21.
"I was questioned for nearly 5 hours. I will come in for questioning again if the ED summons me," the AAP leader said after leaving the probe agency's office.
Delhi Minister Kailash Gahlot said, "Whatever questions were asked to me, I answered all of them."
He said that he was never a part of the AAP's Goa election campaign and was "unaware of what happened."
The Enforcement Directorate has alleged the Aam Aadmi Party used the money generated from the Delhi liquor policy case for election campaigning in Goa.
Gahlot further said that he had informed the Enforcement Directorate that he had not stayed in the official bungalow allotted to him, adding that Vijay Nair was living in the bungalow allotted to me."
The probe agency claimed that Gahlot allowed then AAP communication in-charge Vijay Nair to use his official residence while the liquor policy was being drafted.
Gahlot, who is an MLA from Najafgarh, was a part of the draft of the now-scrapped Delhi government's liquor policy for 2021–22...////...
