Mumbai, June 6 (Reporter) The Enforcement Directorate (ED) conducted raids at Bollywood actor Dino Morea's residence on Friday afternoon in Mumbai. This raid was part of searches at multiple locations across Mumbai in connection with the Mumbai Mithi River scam. ED is probing the alleged financial irregularities and corruption related to the river’s cleanup project. According to sources, officials have examined various records and documents related to the financial transactions of the actor. The raid was conducted at his residence -Villa Morea, located in Bandra West in Mumbai. Dino, along with his brother, Santino Morea, was earlier questioned by a special investigation team (SIT) of the Mumbai Police's Economic Offences Wing (EOW) for their possible links with the firm linked to the Mumbai multi-crore Mithi River desilting project and close links with the arrested accused Ketan Kadam of Vodar India Ltd. The EOW, SIT has registered a case against 13 persons, including contractors and civic officials, in connection with the scam and are probing the matter. One of the arrested accused, Jay Joshi of Virgo Specialties Pvt Ltd, was on Thursday granted bail by the session court after his bail plea was rejected by the local court. Joshi had supplied a machine, which he had imported from the Netherlands for Rs 8 crores in March-April 2021, and used in the project.
