Governor Shri Mangubhai Patel said that the Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan, launched by the Central Government on the 150th birth anniversary of Lord Birsa Munda, is a historic step towards tribal empowerment and inclusive development. He stated that the objective of the Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan is the welfare, empowerment, and overall development of the tribal community. The government is making dedicated efforts to ensure that those tribal citizens who have so far been deprived of government schemes, services, and facilities receive their due benefits. The aim is to empower them to participate in the country’s development as responsible and self-reliant citizens. Governor Shri Patel expressed these views while addressing the state-level camp organized in the village Jholiapur of Sehore district under the Dharti Aaba Abhiyan.
Governor Shri Patel said that 18 ministries of the Central Government are conducting the campaign in a coordinated manner. Several schemes, including PM Awas Yojana, Ayushman Bharat Yojana, PM Ujjwala Yojana, and NRLM, are being implemented for the welfare of needy citizens. He emphasized that the campaign will achieve its true purpose only when all of us work together to make it a success. It is the collective responsibility of society to encourage and assist members of the tribal community in attending the camps organized under the campaign and availing the benefits of these schemes and services. Governor Shri Patel further said that the benefits being provided to the tribal community under the Dharti Aaba Abhiyan are being closely monitored, and he will visit Sehore again soon to review the progress personally.
