Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that the state’s development will continue to progress, focusing on benefiting devotees during Simhastha-2028, particularly by ensuring they can bathe in the pure water of the Kshipra River. On Monday, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, accompanied by Union Jal Shakti Minister Shri CR Patil, performed the Bhoomi Pujan for the Sevarkhedi-Silarkhedi project, valued at Rs 614.53 crore in Ujjain. Dr. Yadav expressed pride in the state receiving two major river-linking projects from Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. He also highlighted that, in preparation for Simhastha-2028, development work will be undertaken across a 12,500-bigha area, similar to Haridwar. An unprecedented decision has been made to provide land plots to saints and akharas for permanent construction. Union Minister Shri Patil congratulated Dr. Yadav for these significant contributions to Ujjain’s development. During the Makar Sankranti festival, Dr. Yadav also distributed Suhaag materials and sarees to women and kites to children.
