Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that Lokmata Devi Ahilya Bai Holkar set remarkable examples of good governance, regional development, and justice administration. Her efforts for public welfare and women’s self-reliance remain exemplary. Lokmata contributed significantly to the cause of cultural nationalism through her nationwide work for the promotion of religion and culture. To realise her vision, activities focused on these themes will be carried out throughout the 300th birth anniversary year.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was addressing the meeting of the Organising Committee constituted for the 300th birth anniversary celebrations of Devi Ahilya Bai Holkar, held at Samatva Bhavan (Chief Minister’s residence). The meeting was attended by Shri Uday Pratap Singh, Minister for Transport and School Education; Shri Dharmendra Singh Lodhi, Minister of State for Culture, Tourism, Religious Trusts and Endowments; Chief Secretary Shri Anurag Jain; and other senior officials.

Dr. Yadav emphasised the need to encourage academic study and research on the contributions of Lokmata Devi Ahilya Bai Holkar. He directed that proper coordination be ensured with concerned state governments for the maintenance of temples, prayer houses, dharmashalas, and other public utility structures built by Devi Ahilya in various states. He further instructed that regular religious and cultural activities be organised at these sacred sites.
