Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that in the forest regions of the state, there are several sites traditionally preserved by local communities on the basis of cultural and religious beliefs. These sites hold spiritual significance and play an important role in biodiversity conservation, ecological balance, community unity, and preservation of cultural heritage. He emphasized the need to develop such sites as Dev Lok Forests.
The Chief Minister directed that plantation activities be taken up within a 5-kilometer stretch on both sides of the major rivers in the state’s forest regions. On Thursday, Dr. Yadav was reviewing the activities of the Forest Department at Samatva Bhavan.
