New Delhi, Mar 26 (Reporter) Former Prime Minister and Janata Dal (Secular) supremo HD Deve Gowda on Thursday submitted a memorandum to Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari, seeking approval for the construction of the Outer Ring Road in Hassan under the National Highway Development project. The senior leader was accompanied by Union Minister HD Kumaraswamy, Member of Parliament M Mallesh Babu, Karnataka leaders HD Revanna, MLA A Manju, and former MLC Chowdareddy Thupalli during the meeting in Parliament. In a statement, Deve Gowda emphasised that the proposed Outer Ring Road would significantly enhance connectivity and contribute to the economic growth of the region. He expressed optimism about the Centre’s support for the project.
