New Delhi, May 7 (Reporter) Delhi Police's Special Cell on Tuesday said that it has busted an illegal factory involved in the production of illicit Psychotropic substance and seized a large quantity of raw materials from which approximately 700 kg of Alprazolam a potent Psychotropic substance can be prepared. Three drug traffickers have been apprehended in the case and a total of 4.720 kg fine quality psychotropic substance alprazolam worth one crore rupees in the international market was also recovered in close coordination with Delhi Narcotics Control Bureau, the Police said. Based on the information, the Special cell of Trans Yamuna range busted an inter-state psychotropic substance supply cartel by intercepting a parcel containing 2 Kg of psychotropic substance. Smuggled alprazolam was sent through courier after concealing it with silver polythene and covered from all sides by two or three hard card box layers to avoid detection from X-ray machines at courier companies and airports and evading law enforcement agencies, the Police said...////...
