Delhi Police ban flying of aerial objects ahead of PM’s swearing-in

New Delhi, June 7 (Reporter) WithPrime Minister Narendra Modi and the council of ministers scheduled to take oath on June 9, Delhi Police on Friday banned the operation of sub-conventional aerial platforms in the national capital including unmanned aerial vehicles, paragliders, microlight aircraft and hot air balloons. The ban will be in force from June 9 to June 10, unless withdrawn earlier, the order issued by Delhi Police Commissioner Sanjay Arora said. The order has been issued in response to the threat posed by criminal and anti-social elements or terrorists inimical to India, who may use the sub-conventional aerial platforms to harm the general public, dignitaries and vital installations, the order said adding that even para-jumping from aircraft is prohibited.
