Pune, Mar 27 (Reporter) Day temperatures were markedly above normal (5.1°C or more) at many places over Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi; at isolated places over Punjab, Rajasthan, west Madhya Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya, Jammu-Kashmir and Ladakh, Gilgit, Baltistan, Muzaffarabad. The Day temperatures were appreciably above normal (3.1°C to 5.0°C) ) at many places over east Uttar Pradesh; at a few places over Uttarakhand; at isolated places over east Madhya Pradesh; above normal (1.6°C to 3.0°C) at many places over Himachal Pradesh, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Bihar, Vidarbha; at a few places over Odisha, Marathwada; at isolated places over Gangetic West Bengal, coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam, Madhya Maharashtra and Gujarat region. These were below normal (-3.0°C to -1.6°C) at isolated places over Telangana and near normal over rest parts of the country. On wednesday, the highest maximum temperature of 42.0°C was reported at Akola (Vidarbha) over the country. Night temperatures were markedly above normal (5.1°C or more) at isolated places over Punjab, west Rajasthan; appreciably above normal (3.1°C to 5.0°C) at isolated places Jammu-Kashmir and Ladakh, Gilgit, Baltistan, Muzaffarabad and Himachal Pradesh; above normal (1.6°C to 3.0°C) at most places over Uttarakhand; at many places over Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, east Rajasthan; at a few places over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim and Gujarat region; at isolated places over Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, west Madhya Pradesh, Madhya Maharashtra, Saurashtra and Kutch. These were below normal (-3.0°C to -1.6°C) at isolated places over Gangetic West Bengal, Assam and Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, east Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha and near normal over rest parts of the country. On Friday, the lowest minimum temperature of 13.9°C is reported at Nahan (Himachal Pradesh) over the plains of the country. Squally/Gusty winds prevailed at isolated locations over Jammu-Kashmir and Ladakh, Gilgit, Baltistan, Muzaffarabad. Thunderstorm was reported at isolated locations over Jammu-Kashmir and Ladakh, Gilgit, Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, Madhya Maharashtra, Kerala and Mahe, coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam, coastal and north interior Karnataka. Rain or thundershowers have occurred at a few places in Jammu-Kashmir and Ladakh and at isolated places in Arunachal Pradesh, Madhya Maharashtra, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, coastal Karnataka, interior Karnataka and Kerala. Mainly dry weather has prevailed in Assam and Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, West Bengal and Sikkim, Odisha, Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat State, Konkan and Goa, Marathwada, Telangana, Rayalaseema, Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Lakshadweep.
