Chennai, Mar 24 (Reporter) A group of people, dressed as sanitary workers, attacked the house of controversial Youtuber Savukku Shankar in the city on Monday for his alleged derogatory remarks following which Tamil Nadu Director General of Police Shankar Jiwal ordered a CB-CID probe into it. In an order late on Monday night, acting on a complaint from Shankar's mother Kamala (68), the probe was transferred to the CB-CID. An official release said in her complaint, Kamala claimed that a group of around 20 people entered her house, abused her with obscene words, soiled her entire house with sewage waste, criminally intimidated her and demanded action against them. Based on the complaint a CSR was filed at the Kilpauk Police station and it was taken up for enquiry. Meanwhile, the Youtuber, who was earlier arrested for his controversial remarks against some leaders on a couple of occasions and was released from prison, in an interview had made certain allegations against the Greater Chennai Police and the Commissioner of Police Arun. Hence, Mr Arun requested for transferring the probe on the CSR to any other agency. Following this, the probe has been transferred to CB-CID, it said.
