Governor Shri Mangubhai Patel said that the cultural heritage of our state is deeply rooted and has been safeguarded for generations. He highlighted the collective responsibility of both the people and the system to work in unison for the preservation and promotion of folk culture and arts. Governor Patel was speaking at the Lokrang program, where he also extended warm wishes to everyone on the occasion of Republic Day. Governor Shri Mangubhai Patel honored distinguished litterateurs with national awards at a programme held at Ravindra Bhavan. Awards were also presented to the winners of various categories from the Republic Day main function. The event saw the launch of the website and books from the dictionary of nomadic tribes, prepared by the Culture Department. Additionally, an exhibition showcasing rare musical instruments was inaugurated. Governor Patel congratulated the Culture Department for organizing programs highlighting the diverse aspects of tribal and folk art.
