Raipur, Oct 16 (Reporter) Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnudeo Sai on Wednesday announced a hike in the dearness Allowance of state government employees from 46 to 50 percent. The employees will get the benefit of the four percent increase with effect from October 1, the CM told reporters here. The state government employees had been demanding DA at par with their counterparts in the Central government for a long time, which has now been approved by the Chief Minister. "Today it is a matter of great pride, our government has decided that on the occasion of Diwali, the 46 percent DA of the state employees is being increased to four percent by making it equal to the Centre.
