Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav will inaugurate Madhya Pradesh Police’s new emergency service Dial-112 on August 14 at 12:20 PM at the Kushabhau Thakre International Convention Centre, Bhopal. Director General of Police Shri Kailash Makwana will also be present at the event.
Additional Director General of Police (Radio/Telecommunication) Shri Sanjeev Shami informed that, marking a historic shift in public safety, Dial-112 is being established in Madhya Pradesh as an integrated, smart and multi-agency emergency response service, carrying forward the proud legacy of Dial-100. Considering the growing needs and the requirement for multi-agency coordination, the Dial-112 service is being launched. Now, all major services—including Police (100), Health/Ambulance (108), Fire (101), Women’s Helpline (1090), Cybercrime (1930), Railway Assistance (139), Highway Accident Response (1099), Natural Disaster (1079), and Women & Child Helplines (181, 1098)—will be accessible through a single number, 112.
In view of the rapidly evolving technological landscape and the demand for high service quality, Dial-112 has been redesigned into a more efficient, intelligent and citizen-centric system. Leveraging new technologies such as data analytics, real-time location tracking, and IoT, the system will not only respond to emergencies but also anticipate potential threats to ensure citizens’ safety.
