Members of the Polythene-Free Bittan Market Women’s Group met Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav at his residence on Wednesday evening. Group member and environment enthusiast Smt. Seema Singh Jadoun informed the Chief Minister that the group has been actively distributing cloth bags in local markets for several years. Their sustained efforts have yielded positive results, with thousands of citizens increasingly choosing cloth bags over polythene, promoting environmental awareness and responsible behaviour.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav appreciated the group’s commendable social initiative. Among the environment-conscious women who met the Chief Minister were Smt. Samta Agarwal, Sushri Ruchika Sachdeva, and Sushri Alpana Gupta. The group also presented Chief Minister Dr. Yadav with cloth bags made by their organization as a symbol of their ongoing efforts toward a polythene-free environment.
