Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav on Monday visited Kapila Gaushala in Ratnakhedi, Ujjain and performed Bhoomi-Pujan of Gau Mata Mandir Seva Sthal by offering worship to the cow amidst recitation of Vedic hymns. He also inspected the Gau Mata shed, public toilets and other development works being carried out by the Municipal Corporation with a fund of Rs 3.5 crore provided by Chief Minister Dr. Yadav. During this, Union Jal Shakti Minister Shri CR Patil was also present. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav had declared the year 2024 as Gau Samvardhan Year. CM Dr. Yadav's goal is to protect and conserve all breeds of cows and prevent accidents caused by stray cows, promote indigenous breeds of cows, encourage organic farming with organic manure. The state government has doubled the cow-feed subsidy for cow protection. Now, animals in registered Gaushala are being given a feed subsidy of Rs. 40 per day.
