Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav paid a heartfelt tribute to Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee on his 125th birth anniversary on Sunday. CM Dr. Yadav offered floral homage and garlanded the life-size statue of Dr. Mukherjee located in the Arera Colony area of Bhopal. In the presence of the Chief Minister, a special program was held to commemorate the 125th birth anniversary of Dr. Mukherjee, who was born on July 6, 1901.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav recalled Dr. Mukherjee’s immense contributions to the nation during the tribute ceremony. He said that the founder of the Bharatiya Jana Sangh, Dr. Mukherjee, was a true patriot and a visionary leader of robust nationalism who consistently lived for the nation's cause.

CM Dr. Yadav said, “Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee was not just a politician but a farsighted national hero. His life is an inspiration of patriotism, self-sacrifice, and service. He powerfully voiced the sentiments of the Indian people before the then government”.

The Chief Minister emphasised Dr. Mukherjee’s famous slogan —“Ek desh mein do Vidhan, do Pradhan, aur do Nishan nahin chalenge” (There cannot be two constitutions, two prime ministers, and two flags in one nation)—as a defining moment in strengthening the foundation of India’s national unity.
