Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav called upon public representatives to promote indigenous and locally made products in their respective areas to realize the vision of an Aatma Nirbhar Bharat and Aatma Nirbhar Madhya Pradesh.
CM Dr. Yadav was addressing ministers, Members of Parliament, and legislators of the Jabalpur division during an interaction program held at Hotel Kalchuri, Jabalpur, on Sunday. He emphasized the need to encourage agriculture-based industries, support new entrepreneurs, and engage youth in employment-oriented initiatives as part of the government’s ongoing efforts.
The event was attended by Public Works Minister Shri Rakesh Singh, Panchayat and Rural Development Minister Shri Prahlad Singh Patel and Public Health Engineering Minister Smt. Sampatiya Uike, Rajya Sabha MP Smt. Sumitra Balmiki, Balaghat MP Smt. Bharti Pardhi, Chhindwara MP Shri Vivek “Bunty” Sahu, Narsinghpur MP Shri Darshan Singh Chaudhary, all MLAs of the division and Additional Chief Secretary Shri Sanjay Dubey.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav discussed the effective implementation of central and state welfare and development schemes, urging MPs and MLAs to make greater efforts to ensure that the benefits reach every underprivileged individual in their constituencies. He said that after campaigns promoting industry and employment over the past two years, the coming year will focus on agriculture and allied sectors.
CM Dr. Yadav informed that the government has launched the Shri Anna Promotion Scheme in memory of Rani Durgavati, and has decided to procure kodo-kutki millets at the Minimum Support Price. He urged MPs and MLAs to encourage farmers in their constituencies to participate in millet procurement and increase millet production. He also emphasised promoting agro-based industries, natural farming and the Bhavantar Scheme, motivating farmers to benefit from soybean cultivation. The Chief Minister also discussed programs to be held across the state from November 1 (Madhya Pradesh Foundation Day) to December 25 (birth centenary year of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee). He said that by November 15, special programs will be organized across the state to mark Lord Birsa Munda Jayanti. The aim, he added, is to highlight the ideals of tribal heroes such as Veerangana Rani Durgavati, Rani Avantibai, and Raja Shankar Shah–Kunwar Raghunath Shah and to connect especially the youth with their legacy.
