Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav extended his congratulations to Jagadguru Tulsipeethadhishwar, Ramanandacharya Swami Shri Ramabhadracharya, on being honoured with the 2023 Jnanpith Award. The award was presented by Smt. Droupadi Murmu, President of India, in recognition of Swami Shri Ramabhadracharya’s outstanding contribution to literature.
Dr Yadav remarked that, despite his visual impairment, the revered Sanskrit scholar has illuminated the profound meaning of the Vedas, Upanishads, and the Ramkatha through the light of his inner vision, creating an unparalleled spiritual treasure not only for India but also for the global literary world. He added that this achievement by the Padma Vibhushan awardee, a venerable figure in India’s saintly tradition, will continue to inspire future generations through his devotion to Sanskrit and ascetic way of life.
