Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav attended Tulsi Shaligram Vivah at Malviya Nagar Yuva Sadan on Devuthani Gyaras. He offered prayers to Shri Hari and Ma Tulsi, asking for the lives of the state's residents to be filled with happiness, prosperity, and joy. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav performed worship for Ma Tulsi with chanting of mantras and presented incense, vermilion, sandalwood, flowers and offered Naivedya (sacred food). MLA Shri Rameshwar Sharma was specially present on this occasion. It is noteworthy that Devuthani Gyaras symbolizes the awakening of Lord Shri Vishnu from 4 months of sleep. This festival is celebrated on the day of Kartik Shukla Gyaras. On this day Lord Vishnu and Mata Tulsi are worshipped and their marriage is organized. On the day of Devuthani Gyaras, special mantras are chanted and blessings of Lord Vishnu and Mother Tulsi are sought by worshipping them.
