Chennai, Feb 23 (Reporter) Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin hailed India's Champions
Trophy win over arch rivals Pakistan as a clinical show while saluting Virat Kohli's
masterclass unbeaten century to steer the team cross the finishing line.
In a social media post after India's six wicket win over the neighbours in Dubai, Mr Stalin
wished Team India to sustain this winning momentum and clinch the Champions Trophy
title.
"Clinical performance by TeamIndia! Kudos to Virat kohli for steering the team to victory
with a masterclass unbeaten century", he said.
"Let’s keep this momentum going and clinch the ChampionsTrophy", he added.
Kohli's 51st ODI hundred, which took him on par with his legendary compatriot Sachin
Tendulkar, came when India needed two runs with Kohli on 96.
Kohli reached the landmark in style with a four over extracover to reach his century and
sealed India's second win which took them closer to the last four stage.
During the course of the century, Kohli became the fastest players to score 14,000 ODI
runs and also achieved another record of taking the highest number of catches--158...////...
