Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav stated that cleanliness brings prosperity. He said that cleanliness has been a part of India’s traditions, daily routine and values for centuries, but over time it was neglected. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi revived these habits and values, transforming cleanliness into a mass movement. CM Dr. Yadav was addressing an event organised under the ‘Swachhata Hi Seva’ campaign in Indore on Thursday, where sanitation workers were honored, and a community meal was held with them. He praised Indore for achieving the first rank in cleanliness for eight consecutive years, creating a national record. He said that all 3.6 million citizens of Indore, especially the sanitation workers, deserve congratulations for this achievement. He said that Indore has earned global recognition for cleanliness due to teamwork, active citizen participation, and the tireless efforts of sanitation workers.
On this occasion, Mayor Shri Pushyamitra Bhargav, MP Shri Shankar Lalwani, MLAs Shri Ramesh Mendola, Shri Golu Shukla, Smt. Malini Gaud, Shri Mahendra Hardia, Shri Madhu Verma, and Ms. Usha Thakur, Chairman of SC Finance & Development Corporation, Shri Sawan Sonkar, Chairman of Sanitation Workers Commission, Shri Pratap Karosiya, Shri Sumit Mishra, Shri Shravan Chawda, former MLA Shri Jeetu Jirati, former Mayor Shri Krishna Murari Moghe and a large number of citizens were present.
