Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav stated that civil service is not merely a profession, but a powerful and effective medium of public service. He emphasised that while civil servants must rightly exercise their powers, they must never shy away from their duties. “Public administration is a vast subject, and its core mantra is: Service to the People in Every Possible Way,” he said.
Dr. Yadav was addressing the Civil Services Day 2025 ceremony at the Golden Jubilee Auditorium of the RCVP Noronha Academy of Administration and Management in Bhopal on Monday.
The Chief Minister extended greetings to all civil servants of the state on the occasion and urged them to remain committed to their responsibilities. He noted that public service carries a great responsibility and must be carried out with integrity, dedication, and mindfulness.
On this occasion, Dr. Yadav presented the Chief Minister’s Excellence Award to 16 selected civil servants of the state for their outstanding work. Congratulating them for their innovations, he awarded each recipient a cash prize of ₹1 lakh and a certificate of appreciation.
He remarked that a skilled civil servant is not only one who adheres to rules and regulations, but also one who understands the challenges of the public with empathy and offers timely and appropriate solutions. He urged all officers to prioritise responsive service to citizens and to enhance the effectiveness of governance aimed at public welfare.
