Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that human life is the result of countless good deeds, and in Sanatan culture, every individual undergoes 16 significant rituals throughout their life—the most important being the marriage ceremony. He highlighted that during this sacred ritual, a couple pledges to remain united for seven lifetimes by circling the holy fire seven times. On the occasion of Akshaya Tritiya, Dr. Yadav addressed mass marriage events held across six districts via video conferencing and extended his blessings to the newlyweds. He noted that Akshaya Tritiya is a day symbolizing eternal growth and prosperity—whatever is gained on this day continues to increase. The Chief Minister congratulated and wished a prosperous, healthy, and joyful life to 929 couples in Chhindwara, 915 in Panna, 80 in Ananddham Shivpuri, 121 in Indore, 80 in Pandhaniya (Dhar district), and 80 in Naya Gaon (Harda district).
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav stated that this year’s budget includes a provision of Rs 27,100 crore dedicated to the welfare of daughters and sisters. He noted that several states are now adopting Madhya Pradesh’s model of women empowerment. The state government is actively working to uplift women and boost farmers’ incomes through industrial development and the promotion of women self-help groups. Highlighting the national commitment to gender equality, he mentioned that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has ensured 33 percent reservation for women in the Lok Sabha and State Assemblies. In alignment with this vision, the Madhya Pradesh government is also offering 35 percent reservation for women in government jobs.
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav virtually participated from Ujjain in mass marriage ceremonies held under the Chief Minister Kanya Vivaah Yojana. These events took place in Village Parichha Pauhari (District Shivpuri), Village Jhalaria, Tehsil Sanwer (District Indore), Village Pandhania, Dharampuri (District Dhar), Village Nayagaon, Tehsil Timarni (District Harda), Inner Ground (DDC College), Nayapur Road (Chhindwara), and Village Panchayat Banauli, Kuantal Dham, Pawai (District Panna). MLA Shri Anil Jain Kaluhera was present at the NIC room in Ujjain during the occasion.
