Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav released the Water Resources Department’s booklet “Sadanira Jal Sansadhan – Bahti Rahe Jal Ki Dhara” at the Mantralaya on Wednesday. On this occasion, the Water Resources Minister, Shri Tulsiram Silawat, the Panchayat, Rural Development, and Labour Minister, Shri Prahlad Singh Patel, and the MSME Minister, Shri Chaitanya Kumar Kashyap, were also present.
The booklet highlights the Jal Ganga Samwardhan Abhiyan undertaken this year for the conservation and promotion of water resources across Madhya Pradesh. CM Dr. Yadav congratulated all stakeholders on the campaign’s remarkable success. He said, “Our rivers, ponds, and water bodies are the foundation of life. This joint effort of the government and society towards their conservation is not only exemplary but will also establish Madhya Pradesh as a leader in water management”.
Water Resources Minister Shri Silawat said that the campaign, inspired by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s “Catch the Rain” initiative and based on the principle “Water of the field should stay in the field, and water of the village should stay in the village”, has given new direction to water conservation efforts in Madhya Pradesh. Under the visionary leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, the campaign was conducted from 30 March to 30 June 2025 to transform water conservation into a public movement.
