Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav laid the foundation stone for development works worth Rs 864 crore under the upcoming Simhastha Mahaparva 2028, during a programme held at the Angareshwar Mahadev Temple premises on Saturday. As part of the event, Dr. Yadav performed the Bhoomi Pujan for a 29-kilometer-long ghat to be constructed along the Kshipra River for Rs 779 crore, as well as 21 barrages to be built on the river at an estimated cost of Rs 85 crore.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that today’s programme is a true religious gathering, held in the esteemed presence of revered saints. He highlighted that the Madhya Pradesh government is commemorating the 300th birth anniversary of Devi Ahilyabai Holkar. Reflecting on India’s rich heritage, he noted that the ancient era was a golden period for the country’s culture. He also recalled how Shrimant Mahadji Scindia and Malhar Rao Holkar took significant steps to restore temples that were destroyed by foreign invaders.
