Chief Minister Dr. Yadav launches construction works of lift micro irrigation project costing Rs 1011.05 crore in Bahoriband

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that Lord Shri Ram had gone to Chitrakoot via the holy land of Bahoriband during his 14 years of exile. This is the Taposthali of Shri Ram. The scheme for which the people of this area have been waiting for the last 40 years is going to be completed today. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav addressed the gathering after inaugurating the construction works of the Bahoriband Lift Micro Irrigation Project worth Rs 1011.05 crore at Bahoriband in Katni district on Thursday. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the Bahoriband project will irrigate 32 thousand hectares of land in 151 villages of 4 tehsils of Katni district. Farmers will be able to use every drop of water for their fields through sprinkler systems, drips, etc. Land will not be used to build the canal; water will be directly available to the fields. Efforts will also be made to supply drinking water to the citizens of Katni through the project. The Chief Minister also dedicated and performed Bhoomi pujan of various development works worth Rs 55 crore for development in Katni district.
