Raipur, May 18 (Reporter) The Chhattisgarh government has granted sanction for prosecution against 21 excise officials allegedly involved in the state's alleged liquor scam, paving the way for legal action against them. The Economic Offence Wing (EOW) had named 36 individuals as accused in the FIR, including former Additional Director, Joint Director, Deputy Director, District Excise Officer, and Inspector-rank officials. Notably, several politicians, former IAS officers, and businessmen have already been jailed in connection with this scam. After receiving approval from the government, the EOW conducted raids at 13 locations across the state on Saturday, seizing documents and electronic evidence related to the case.
