Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav welcomed the decision of the Union Cabinet, chaired by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, to increase the MSP for Rabi crops. Dr. Yadav said that the Cabinet’s decision to enhance the MSP for the marketing season 2026–27 has ensured the welfare of farmers. He further said that this decision will also immensely benefit farmers in Madhya Pradesh. Both the Centre and the State remain committed to the welfare of farmers.
Dr. Yadav highlighted that compared to last year, the increase has been as follows: wheat by ₹160, barley by ₹170, chickpeas by ₹225, lentils by ₹300, rapeseed and mustard by ₹250. The highest increase is for safflower, which has been raised by ₹600 per quintal.
