Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that to preserve the state’s cultural, religious, and social heritage, Govardhan Puja should be celebrated with great enthusiasm on October 21 and 22 at major public places and cowsheds in all districts. CM Dr. Yadav stated that the goal is to increase milk production in the state by 20%. He added that activities should be organised to encourage natural farming and animal husbandry. Ministers, Members of Parliament, MLAs, office-bearers of urban bodies, panchayat representatives and local public representatives should actively participate in these events. He also instructed that local cultural groups be involved and the events be celebrated as festivals. The Animal Husbandry Department will serve as the nodal department for these programs.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was addressing MPs, MLAs, Collectors, Superintendents of Police and municipal officials of all districts via video conference from Samatva Bhavan at the Chief Minister’s residence on Sunday regarding the upcoming festivals.
CM Dr. Yadav further said that celebrating a Swadeshi Diwali will strengthen the spirit of a self-reliant India. Therefore, the purchase and sale of ‘Swadeshi’ products should be promoted during the festive season. Programs related to Aatmanirbhar Bharat and the GST Utsav will continue till December 25. In every assembly constituency, in-charge ministers, public representatives and collectors should coordinate to decide the dates and organise these Aatmanirbhar Bharat/GST Utsav programs, which will feature exhibitions and sales of indigenous products. The Chief Minister directed that events promoting social harmony should be organized in every district. Conscious and socially active citizens should be invited to these events, and discussions should be held to foster a positive environment for social harmony.
