Can address peoples aspiration only by restoring the statehood to J&K: Omar Abdullah

Srinagar, Dec 6 (Reporter) Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Friday said the peoples aspirations can be addressed only by restoring the statehood to Jammu and Kashmir. “Only by restoring the statehood, the people’s issues can be addressed in real sense and we have to work hard to achieve it”, Omar said while addressing the first meeting of his party legislatures at his National Conference party headquarter in Srinagar on Friday. Omar made it clear that all the promises made to the people in the party manifesto will be fulfilled in all circumstances. He said that the people can get real relief only by restoring the state status and we have to work hard to achieve it. Among other things the organizational issues and programs, besides the current political situation, various problems and difficulties faced by the people were discussed in the meeting. The party legislatures informed the meeting about the party activities and ground situation besides highlighting the problems and difficulties of the people of their respective areas. Omar urged the party leaders and office bearers to keep in close touch with the people and play their role in solving their problems apart from highlighting their problems. He also directed the leaders to work hard for the party’s strength “There has not been any change in the words and actions of the National Conference and we are sticking to our agenda”, Omar said and added “leadership is the right of the people and the people are the source of power, on the basis of this principle the people gave us success and we have to try our best to live up to the expectations of the people in every situation”. Omar said the National Conference will bring relief to the people by fulfilling each and every promise made in its manifesto. Omar said that the civilian government is diligently working towards fulfilling the promises outlined in the manifesto, with a steadfast commitment to preserving the distinct identity of the region. The CM Omar reassured all party members that the government is actively working towards fulfilling the commitments outlined in the party manifesto. He emphasised the government’s steadfast dedication to tackling the developmental challenges of the past decade, with a strong focus on preserving the unique identity of the region. He made it unequivocally clear that there can be no trade-off between the progress and dignity of our people and that both must advance hand in hand. He reiterated his pledge to work tirelessly for the welfare of people of Jammu and Kashmir, vowing to remain steadfast in addressing public grievances and advancing the restoration of statehood and the region's overall development...////...
