Mahoba (UP), Oct 26 (Reporter) A bullion trader went missing with jewellery worth several lakh under mysterious circumstances from Panwari area of Mahoba district here in Uttar Pradesh, a senior
police officer said here on Saturday.
Superintendent of Police (SP) Palash Bansal said that bullion trader Brahma Swaroop Soni, a resident of Panwadi, had gone to Rath town of Hamirpur district on Friday morning for business of buying and selling jewellery.
"While returning back late in the evening he went missing. Later, the trader's bike was found lying in the bushes on the roadside near Chhatesar village on Mahoba Road. But the trader was nowhere to be found," he said.
He said that the trader's wife Khushboo Soni has said that Brahma Swaroop's family members kept taking his location through phone throughout the day.
"She said that when they attempted to contact him around 6 pm his mobile was switched off," he said.
The SP said that after this the family informed the police about the matter. As soon as the information was received, senior police officers reached the spot and started the investigation.
He said that five police teams have been constituted to search for the missing businessman.
"The police are trying to recover the trader by gathering clues," he said...////...
