Patna, Mar 27 (Reporter) Both Houses of Bihar Legislature were adjourned sine die on Thursday after the end of their month-long budget session. The budget session of both Houses of the state had begun on February 28 with the address of Bihar Governor Arif Mohammad Khan to its joint sitting. A total of 18 sittings were held during the budget session of the state legislature. Bihar budget for the financial year 2025-26 was passed in both Houses, while important bills including Bihar Appropriation Bill 2025, Bihar Appropriation Bill (2) Bill 2025, and Bihar Cooperative Society (Amendment) Bill 2025 were also passed in both Houses. Issues of public interest were raised by members in both Houses. Speaker Nand Kishore Yadav adjourned the Assembly sine die, after disposal of all scheduled business of the House. He expressed his gratitude towards all members for transacting the scheduled business of the House. Similarly, Chairman of Bihar Legislative Council Awadhesh Narain Singh also adjourned sine die the Upper House after discharging its scheduled business.
