Srinagar, Sep 15 (Reporter) Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) National General Secretary and election in-charge for Jammu and Kashmir Ram Madhav on Sunday said that the party will create history in the upcoming Assembly polls and break the myth that it does not enjoy support of voters in the Valley.
“The election will be historical and BJP will also make history in these elections,” Madhav said while addressing the party stakeholders and functionaries in an organisational meeting here.
He said earlier the BJP was considered an outside party in Jammu and Kashmir. But in 2014, the BJP broke that myth. “The BJP was never an outside party, it was in government also,” he asserted.
Madhav said the BJP was in alliance and formed the government in 2014 and had completely removed the narrative that it would never come to power in Jammu and Kashmir.
“We have to break another myth that in 2024 the people of Kashmir valley will not support the BJP and that has to be broken,” he said.
Madhav said the 60 lakh people of Jammu and Kashmir have forgotten Article 370 as it has become history now. The people have lived in a peaceful atmosphere during the past five years in Jammu and Kashmir.
